Parent Bulletin 13.09.19
Thank you to parents of Year 12 students who attended the Year 12 Parents’ Forum on Wednesday. We hope you found this helpful and your children are settling into life in the Sixth Form.
Whilst most Darrick Wood students are punctual and attend well, a minority are sometimes late. We have run lunchtime detentions for many years but a persistent few continue to be late. As a consequence, late detention is now held at 3.10pm on the same day they are late.
Many of our autumn term clubs and societies are now under way. Please encourage your sons and daughters to join in with the many opportunities that are available. A complete timetable of what we offer will be published on the website soon.
Please avoid driving to the School at busy times wherever possible. If this is unavoidable, please park with consideration for our neighbours. They also need to get out easily, go to work or drop children at school/nursery. There have been issues for some of our neighbours recently where parents of Darrick Wood students have blocked their drive ways.
