Latest news

In this bulletin last week we reported on the success of DWSAudio. Here you will find an increasing range of interesting podcasts created by our students with help from Mr Chappell (Head of Media) and our Media Technician, Mr Utton. This week, we are proud to announce that two of our plays were entered for the 2019 International Radio Drama Festival and One of our exercise books is missing was placed first by the jury for the short form category. We knew it was good, but did not expect it to win against such prestigious competition. We are incredibly proud of all who were involved with this and continue to encourage more students to get involved in DWSAudio. Developing communication skills is vital for future success as well as being a lot of fun.

Today the Head Teacher met with students from across the School who had been nominated by their teachers for exceptional work or progress over the past term. Next week we will also hold Achievement Assemblies for all year groups to further recognise and celebrate the efforts of our students.

The Year 10 Parents’ Evening was very well attended and a very busy night for all concerned. If your child did not manage to get an appointment and you would like some feedback, please do contact the School.

The PSFA held a very successful uniform sale last weekend with over £800 made for school funds.
