Students from all year groups participated in large numbers in a thoroughly enjoyable and high quality Spring Concert on Thursday. The programme was varied and entertaining and very much indicated the impact of hard work by students and staff in rehearsals over recent weeks. Music is going from strength to strength at the School. There are lots of opportunities to get involved so please encourage your child to join one of the many clubs that are organised or consider additional lessons that are offered.
With monthly Pupil of the Month awards, termly achievement assemblies, our House Points system in Class Charts and other awards given out by individual teachers, we believe it is vital to acknowledge in as many ways as possible the hard work of our pupils. We are always looking for new ways to do this and recently the Head Teacher met with the top three attainers and the top three pupils in terms of progress in Years 7 to 9. They were awarded Bronze, Silver and Gold Awards in a special meeting in the Head Teacher’s office.
DWSAudio continues to expand its range of podcasts, now being produced to an even greater quality as a result of the PSFA funded sound recording booth. Have a listen to what the students have produced on our website here.
