Parent Bulletin 16.11.18

This week

  • The final rehearsals are underway for our production of Les Miserables. In assemblies all week, members of the cast gave the whole school a taste of what is to come. They were amazing so if you have not got a ticket yet, please visit our website whilst there are still any left.
  • Year 13 parents’ evening took place on Thursday. As well as the usual direct feedback from teachers a report including up to date projected grades was available to be picked up. It was good to see a good turn out and everybody working together to help our Year 13 students do their very best over the months ahead. We wish them well.

Coming Up

  • Year 11 mock examinations extend over the two weeks beginning Monday, 26th November. All Year 11 pupils should be revising hard as these examinations will be as close as possible to the real examination experience in the summer. Teachers use the marks awarded to identify where progress has been made and where additional support over the months ahead will make all the difference.
  • Remember tickets for the PSFA Christmas Ball are on sale. Visit for details.
  • Tickets are also still on sale for the Year 7 end of term Christmas Party to be held at the School on the evening of Friday, 7th December. The ticket price is now £6.00 per ticket and £7.00 per ticket on the evening.
  • 10th December is a Professional Development Day for staff. Pupils do not attend.
  • Our annual Carol Service is being arranged for Tuesday, 18th December at 7pm. More information nearer the time.

  • There are lots of clubs and societies to get involved with in school. Our recommendation is that every child is involved in at least one. We know that many are involved in lots already and some are extremely popular. If your child is not involved please get in touch and we will do all we can help.
